歌詞の意味と解釈

タイトルの「チキチータ」とはスペイン語で"小さな可愛い女の子“を意味します。

傷心の少女に向かって、一緒に悲しみ、心配し、励ます様子が描かれています。

主人公と少女(チキチータ) の関係や、少女が何を悲しんでいるのかは不明ですが、一説には「両親の離婚に悲しむ少女と、それを慰める姉」だと言われています。

（ちなみに、ビョルンとアグネタが離婚したのは、この曲がリリースされた1979年の事だそうです）
