スウェーデンの世界的ポップグループ アバが1979年10月にリリースしたシングル曲です。
6thアルバム「Voulez Vouz」(ヴーレ・ヴー) が再発される際、追加収録されました。
歌詞の意味と解釈
タイトルにある「ギミ！ギミ！ギミ！」(gimme＝give me) と強く求めているものは、サブタイトルにもなっている「ア・マン・アフター・ミッドナイト」(=真夜中過ぎの男) です。
孤独な夜を乗り越える為に"慰めとなる恋人が欲しい“という、かなりストレートな心境が書かれた曲です。
！マーク付きで3度繰り返しているくらいなので、かなり切実な思いです。
外で吹く秋風や、部屋で一人TVの深夜放送(映画と思われます) を見ている様子など、生々しいほどに寂しさが伝わってきます。
